Postcard images contained in all Canvey Post Archive Albums may be subject to copyright and may not be used without permission of the relevant copyright holder. This archive is only a small representation of the types and styles of card produced from around 1900 and is far from exhaustive.
The CILP continues to acquire new exhibits for the archive from private collections so please visit again soon! All images are reduced in size and resolution to aid loading times. Please note that images reproduced here are for academic or school research, general interest and non-commercial purposes only.
Postcard dates and descriptions are of a general nature and any errors are down to the CILP. Publishers rarely printed dates on their cards and postmarks and stamps are not an accurate indication of when a picture was taken as many cards were used for decades. If you have further information please contact CILP so we may correct our display.
